The first step is identifying which of our diverse medical exchange ventures aligns with your professional goals. Whether you are looking for a year-round clinical placement through MEVEA, an accredited MIA-Summer Exchange, or a high-impact Med Global outreach mission, we offer programs tailored to various stages of medical training and professional expertise.
Submit Your Application & Documentation
Complete our online application form to help our teams in Arusha and Nairobi understand your skills and interests. We recommend submitting your details at least 2–3 weeks before your intended arrival. This allows us to finalize your clinical credentials and coordinate with our partner hospitals to secure your placement in the appropriate department.
Clinical Placement & Orientation
Upon approval, you will be assigned to a medical facility that matches your learning objectives. This could range from a high-volume urban Level 5 hospital to a remote community health center. On arrival, you’ll receive a comprehensive orientation to the Tanzanian health system and the local tropical environment, preparing you for a multidisciplinary working environment.
Hands-On Clinical Practice

Safari Adventure & Cultural Reflection
Medicine is about the human connection, and no trip to Tanzania is complete without experiencing its natural wonder. After your clinical rotation, you will transition into the “voluntourism” phase of your journey. This includes a curated safari experience and a one-night stay at our partner lodge, allowing you to reflect on your impact while exploring the beauty of the African wilderness.
